Into the ether

As you know I upload my work to my emails.  Well, I made a few changes at lunchtime and duly uploaded the file.  Tonight, I downloaded the file and worked on it, saved it and decided to upload it again.  Except – I couldn’t find it.  It wasn’t on my hard drive!  You know what I’d done, don’t you?  When I clicked on the attachment I chose ‘open’ instead of save and I’d been working on an open attachment which saves – nowhere!

Well, I’ve only lost 3 hours work.  In the grand scheme of things – sod that.  I’m really p’ed off with myself.  An ex-IT person and I made such an idiotic mistake.

And there’s no chocolate in the house!

And no hubby so I can leave the kids sleeping and nip to the petrol station for some…

Probably a good thing.

Maybe I’ll google some images of chocolate.  Images aren’t fattening, are they?

I’m tired.  G’night.

About Bea Turvey apprentice author and witch

I am a wild-haired author who cannot stop writing. The writing process is not a task for me. It is an extension of myself. When I write, I lose myself as easily as if I slipped into the story for a swim. Writing became a serious part of my life in Decmber of 2009. Unless you're reading this in 2017 it wasn't that long ago, and the bug hit me hard and fast. My first novel, Banished, was published in March 2010 and is available at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Banished-ebook/dp/B008PGM4TQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361913026&sr=8-1. If you read it, or anything else I've written, I hope you'll post a review and let me know why you liked it - or even why not!

Never mind Bina, it just proves you are human too. Bina knows I did this the other day, and then I lost the USB stick that I have saved my “story” on! It could be in the house somewhere!
